Puma evoPOWER 1.2 is the only real power boot on sale and the boot is filled to the brim with technologies and new innovations, which help you on the football pitch. It still all about power and about getting the most out of your football boots. Puma have therefore shifted the entire perception of how a football boot should be produced. The sole has been made extra flexible and the upper stretches just one way, so your feet can act as they would, if you weren’t wearing any boot. You can actually try to compare yourself: Pretend you are about to strike a ball with your instep with your current boots and you will feel, how your toes are stopped. Now try without boots and you will see that the flex in your foot is notably greater. This flex is what evoPOWER is all about – and that’s what Puma have focused on! evoPOWER 1.2 is once again made with an upper of AdapLite. The material has however been changed and has been given a rougher and more dull finish. The material is however also softer than its predecessor, but is still made to only stretch one way. The AdapLite materialet is coated in a thin layer of GripTex, which is a texture that gives you a better grip on the ball, regardless of it being wet or dry conditions As was the case on the evoPOWER 1 there has been used AccuFoam under the upper. These small pillows help give you a larger and cleaner strike surface, which therefore ensures greater precision. Furthermore the boot is made with an asymmetrical lacing, which in turn gives a larger strike surface. evoPOWER 1.2 is once again made with Puma’s Everfitcage-EXT, which works as a cage for your foot. This cage gives increased stability and support, while also making sure you are always locked in your boots, to give you maximal power when playing. Furthermore the heel has been made slightly higher than on previous versions. This gives a tighter fit, better lockdown and ensures that the boot really wraps itself around your foot. Underneath the boot you can see that Puma have kept the Gradual Stability Frame. This spine-like construction under the mid foot helps give you the flex you need, when you strike the ball with everything you’ve got. With the evoPOWER 1.2 Puma’s innovations reach new heights. The softer and suppler upper, combined with the improved stability from the Gradual Stability Frame and Everfitcage-EXT helps give you more force and POWER in your game. Something Cesc Fabregas and Mario Balotelli can testify to on the pitch. With FG studs for firm ground surfaces such as grass.
